Court Orders Man Resentenced Over Trial Judge's Conflict
SAN FRANCISCO - A man sentenced to three years in prison for theft by fraud must be resentenced because the judge who presided over his trial failed to recuse himself after acknowledging in court that the victim was a "close personal friend," a state appellate court has ruled.
