Defender Says Prosecutor Hid Role of Rampart in Drug Case

The alternate public defender's office said Thursday it has uncovered a new basis on which it may appeal a client's drug conviction, that the district attorney's Rampart prosecution team allegedly misrepresented to the trial court that none of the officers implicated in the scandal was involved in the case.
