Last-Minute Donations Secure Injunction in Logging Case

SAN FRANCISCO - Thanks largely to an Eagle and a Maverick, environmentalists Wednesday were able at the last minute to meet a judge's extraordinary requirement to post a $250,000 bond, securing an injunction against helicopter logging near the Headwaters Forest Preserve.
