Public Suits

It is somewhat unusual for businesses to seek public disclosure of environmental lawsuits filed against them. However, last year, the California Chamber of Commerce and other business interests supported a bill requiring disclosures of lawsuits brought and settlements reached under Proposition 65. The bill passed and was signed into law as Health and Safety Code Section 25249.7(e)-(g).
