Gray Cary: MATTSON TECHNOLOGY BUYS SEMICONDUCTOR BUSINESSES
Mattson Technology has agreed to acquire STEAG Electronic Systems' Semiconductor Division and CFM Technologies. The value of the transactions was not disclosed.
Mattson, based in Fremont, supplies semiconductor process equipment for use in chemical vapor deposition and rapid thermal processes. These techniques are used to imprint information onto the semiconductor wafer.
