Latham & Watkins: WOODLAND HILLS' CAPSTONE UNVEILS $136 MILLION IPO

Capstone Turbine Corp. went public in late June in an offering valued at about $136.5 million. Capstone, based in Woodland Hills, manufactures the Capstone MicroTurbine, which produces energy in an environmentally friendly fashion. The company praises its product as being cost-efficient and requiring very little maintenance. The generator is used in hybrid electric buses, in the oil industry and as a backup power supply.
