Firm Watch: By Tamara Scott Tax and corporate attorney Lawrence E. Irell , co-founder of Los Angeles' Irell & Manella , died on June 22 in Rancho Mirage. He was 88. "Larry Irell was a towering figure among lawyers - a lawyer's lawyer," says Morgan Chu , the firm's co-managing partner. "He created a law firm built on an unwavering dedication to creativity, excellence and delivering results for clients."
