Low tax rates in Santa Clara County cities
In terms of local taxes, businesses will find a soft spot in the heart of Silicon Valley. Santa Clara County cities, for the most part, charge low taxes. Data from the 2000 Kosmont Cost of Doing Business Survey-National Online Edition shows that key cities here have low rates. Among the eight communities covered - Campbell, Cupertino, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara and Sunnyvale - most receive the very low-cost rating.
