Prominent Tax Attorney, Irell, Dies at Age 88

Obituary: Tax and corporate attorney Lawrence E. Irell, co-founder of Irell & Manella, has died. Irell died Thursday in Rancho Mirage. He was 88. "Larry Irell was a towering figure among lawyers - a lawyer's lawyer," Morgan Chu, the firm's co-managing partner, said Monday. "He created a law firm built on an unwavering dedication to creativity, excellence and delivering results for clients."
