SunPower settles with environmentalists

Solar panel maker SunPower announced Wednesday it settled a lawsuit over the environmental impacts of its planned solar farm on the Carrizo Plain near San Luis Obispo.

Solar panel maker SunPower announced Wednesday it settled a lawsuit over the environmental impacts of its planned solar farm on the Carrizo Plain near San Luis Obispo.


In an agreement with local environmental groups, the San Jose-based company has promised to close the proposed operation down after 50 years and to increase monitoring of wildlife impacts during project construction.
