Oracle snags RightNow for $1.43 billion

Redwood Shores-based Oracle Corp.'s acquisition machine roared back to life on Monday with a $1.43 billion purchase of Montana-based RightNow Technologies Inc.

PALO ALTO - Redwood Shores-based Oracle Corp.'s acquisition machine roared back to life on Monday with a $1.43 billion purchase of Montana-based RightNow Technologies Inc.


The buy is Oracle's largest since April 2009, when the software giant purchased Sun Microsystems Inc. for $7.4 billion.
