A federal judge has denied a request by proponents of California's gay marriage ban to order the removal of its donors' names from the secretary of state's website. U.S. District Judge Morrison England for the Eastern District issued a preliminary ruling after nearly an hour of oral arguments Thursday in a case that pit privacy rights against electoral transparency.
