Judge weighs injunction against Samsung

A San Jose federal judge considered Thursday whether to grant a preliminary injunction blocking sales of Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. smart phones and tablet computers that Apple Inc. says infringes its patents.

SAN JOSE - Highlighting the tension surrounding copycat allegations between two technology titans, U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh at a hearing Thursday held up an Apple iPad and a competing Samsung tablet computer and asked counsel which was which.
