L.A. court reveals plan to cull the ranks of commissioners, reporters

In response to gaping budget deficits and financial shortfalls, Los Angeles County Superior Court has requested as many as 30 commissioners and 30 court reporters "voluntarily separate" from their jobs effective Dec. 30.

LOS ANGELES - In a dramatic move to cut costs, the Los Angeles County Superior Court has requested as many as 30 commissioners and 30 court reporters to "voluntarily separate" from their jobs at the court effective Dec. 30.
