Dole finalizes deal in toxic cases
Ending years of litigation, a settlement has been reached by Dole and lawyers representing Central American plaintiffs who claimed to have been injured by pesticides used on Dole banana farms decades ago.

LOS ANGELES - Bringing an end to years of bruising litigation, a settlement has been reached by Dole Food Co. Inc. and lawyers representing Central American plaintiffs who claimed to have been injured by pesticides used on Dole banana farms decades ago.
The settlement, in the works for months, was announced Monday at a hearing before Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Jane L. Johnson.
