Jury awards $48.2 million to Motrin user

A Los Angeles jury granted what may be the largest verdict in the United States for a single plaintiff in a product liability lawsuit against a drug manufacturer on Monday in a case involving the makers of Motrin.

A Los Angeles County Superior Court jury awarded a 22-year-old man $48.2 million in damages as a result of a severe skin condition that he said was caused by the pain reliever Motrin.
