Tax bust appears to be one of largest in history

Agents swept through Orange County and the Inland Empire arresting more than a dozen people indicted on federal charges in what officials called one of the largest tax fraud prosecutions in recent history.

Federal agents swept through Orange County and the Inland Empire, arresting more than a dozen people indicted on federal charges in what officials called one of the largest tax fraud prosecutions in recent history.


As many as 55 people participated in the alleged tax scheme, blamed for defrauding the federal government out of $5 million and receiving $1 million in customer fees from 2008 to 2011.
