Activist Was Second Black Jurist in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - A memorial service for Alpha L. Montgomery, the second black appointed to a Superior Court judgeship in San Diego County, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the third-floor offices of the San Diego County Bar Association at 1333 Seventh Ave. in downtown San Diego.
