LOS ANGELES - A defendant cannot be convicted twice for stealing from two bedrooms in the same apartment, a state appellate court ruled Tuesday. The 2nd District Court of Appeal ruled in a partially published decision that one count of burglary should be dropped against Robert Richardson, and his sentence should be reduced by one year and four months.
