Note to Redevelopment Agencies: Leave the Market Alone

A shopping center developer buys a tract of land in San Bernardino County containing run-down homes and businesses and some abandoned buildings. His plan? To clear the area of its existing blight and build a Sam's Club on the property. No comments will be entertained from those who believe that building big-box stores is a blight in its own right.
