Nixon, a California lawyer forced to resign the presidency in 1974 over the Watergate scandal, made beyond-the-grave headlines last week with the release of 20,000 pages of transcripts, notes and other documents recording the telephone conversations of Henry A. Kissinger, Nixon's national security adviser and later secretary of state.
