PetSmart Inc. agreed to settle a proposed wage and hour class action for $10 million Friday with about 16,400 animal groomers and other employees working in the store's California pet salons.
The suit alleged the workers sometimes didn't receive paid rest breaks or earn minimum wage for time spent doing tasks that didn't earn a commission, and that workers weren't provided seats.
