Barristers and Bards

Poets have gotten a bad rap. Almost as bad as lawyers. At least there isn't a formal genre of poet jokes. But when times get tough, people turn to lawyers for help. They also turn to poetry. One of the great aspects of covering the legal community is that many judges and lawyers don't define themselves solely by their professional lives. They paint, sky dive, do standup comedy or volunteer. Is it any surprise that they also write poetry?
