Walker Takes To Calculator In Figuring Attorney Fees

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge has developed a novel formula to calculate attorney fees in two civil rights cases, setting the "customary fee" for San Francisco Bay Area attorneys at $150 per hour in 2001 and $190 an hour in 2002 - well below the $325 hourly rates sought in the suits.
