'Saladino' Serves as Review Of Surety, Subrogation Law

Focus Column - Probate Law - By Marshal Oldman - In the matter of American Contractors Indemnity Co. v. Saladino, B158573 (Cal. App. 2nd Dist. Feb. 24, 2004), the 2nd District Court of Appeal ruled that a surety company who paid on a surcharge judgment was not allowed to subrogate against the estate because it had not paid the full amount of the judgment against the estate.
