Judge Scratches Race Horse Injury Case

Breaking out of the gate, a personal injury suit on behalf of a thoroughbred horse rider seemed like a contender. Ken Nelson's attorneys claimed a Bay Area racetrack owed him as much as $48 million after a filly he was riding smashed into a fence, leaving Nelson a quadriplegic.
