Tech Firms Plan to Merge In $4 Billion Stock Swap
Transactional lawyers in the Silicon Valley may be flashing back to the high-flying years of the late 1990s. Sunnyvale-based technology companies Juniper Networks Inc. and NetScreen Technologies Inc. are planning to merge in a stock deal valued at an eye-popping $4 billion. The transaction is part of a resurgence in merger and acquisition activity, says Steve Camahort, a San Francisco partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati who advised Juniper.
