Davis Polk, Simpson Thacher help in HVAC sale

Bay-area attorneys from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP assisted in Daikin Industries Ltd.'s purchase of Goodman Global Inc. for $3.7 billion.

More than a year and a half after a major earthquake and tsunami struck Japan and derailed a planned deal between Osaka, Japan-based Daikin Industries Ltd. and Houston-based Goodman Global Inc., the agreement appears to be back on track with legal assistance from California lawyers at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.
