SAN FRANCISCO - James M. Humes, a top staff member for Gov. Jerry Brown, has put his name in for a vacancy on the 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco, according to multiple sources.
The sources said the Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation, which rates judicial candidates, has circulated forms seeking input on Humes' application.
