Survey shows more female GCs at top companies than ever

More women than ever served as general counsel at top companies across the country last year, and California leads the upward trend, according to a recent survey.


The number of women holding the top legal post at the country's 500 largest companies continues to grow, according to a new survey, but that trend hasn't caught on at large law firms.


Experts who follow the issue say that while they're heartened by the successes they've seen in corporations, the rise of women general counsel has so far had little effect on the number of women equity stakeholders in law firms.
