Judge takes away Apple advantage in Samsung trial jury instructions

In a late victory for Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and its attorneys at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, a federal judge took away an Apple Inc. advantage in jury instructions.

SAN JOSE - In a late victory for Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and its attorneys at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, a federal judge took away an Apple Inc. advantage in jury instructions in a patent and trade dress trial.


U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh was deciding late Monday whether to instruct jurors that both sides destroyed evidence before Apple's lawsuit was filed.
