Walker Won’t Have to Appear in Court

Former Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker of San Francisco will no longer be required to appear at a June 13 hearing over the controversial showing of video of the Proposition 8 trial, Walker's successor, Chief U.S. District Judge James Ware, announced Thursday.
