State Approves Record Qui Tam Deal

The state has formally approved a $241 million settlement against a huge medical test provider, the largest recovery in a whistleblower lawsuit in California history.

The state has formally approved a $241 million settlement against a huge medical test provider, the largest recovery in a whistleblower lawsuit in California history.

The settlement with Quest Diagnostics Inc., approved by Attorney General Kamala D. Harris Thursday, resolves a long-running suit that accused the state's largest medical laboratory test provider of grossly inflating costs for tests for Medi-Cal recipients.
