Liu to Get Senate Vote

It may have taken a year, but Democratic leaders have thrown their weight behind UC Berkeley School of Law professor Goodwin Liu in a final push to seat him on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

WASHINGTON - It may have taken a year, but Democratic leaders have thrown their weight behind UC Berkeley School of Law professor Goodwin Liu in a final push to seat him on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.


Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has scheduled a vote today to break the procedural filibuster preventing the Senate from considering Liu. He'll need 60 votes to invoke cloture...
