Gov. Switches Attorneys in Prop. 8 Fight

Gov. Jerry Brown switches lawyers in the federal challenge to Proposition 8.

Given Gov. Jerry Brown's budget woes, it isn't surprising he decided to drop the outside law firm that represented the previous administration throughout the federal challenge to the ban on same-sex marriage.

Last week, the state Attorney General's Office officially substituted for Mennemeier, Glassman & Stroud LLP as Brown's counsel in the federal challenge to Proposition 8.
