Cooley to Open Shanghai Office

Cooley LLP announced Thursday it has filed an application with the Chinese government requesting approval to launch an office in Shanghai.

At long last, Palo Alto-based Cooley LLP decided to open its first foreign office. The firm announced Thursday it has filed an application with the Chinese government requesting approval to launch an office in Shanghai.


If approved, Cooley would be just the latest California law firm to enter a market lawyers call enormously promising but also challenging, expensive and competitive.
