Wilson Sonsini: CELL GENESYS INJECTS DRUG DEVELOPER INTO PORTFOLIO

Foster City's Cell Genesys Inc. has agreed to acquire Sunnyvale biotech company Calydon Inc. The stock deal is worth $17.4 million. Cell Genesys develops and commercializes cancer vaccines and gene therapies to treat major and life-threatening diseases, such as hemophilia, cardiovascular disorders and lung, prostate and pancreatic cancer.
