New-home sales dip in San Fernando

Overall trends for the San Fernando Valley/Santa Clarita Valley housing market decreased 10.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 1999, according to The Meyers Group. The area sold 415 new homes during the quarter compared to 463 new homes in the third quarter. An even larger decrease of 26.1 percent was experienced in total overall sales, which fell from 2,579 in 1998 to 1,907 in 1999.
