One major project can make a difference for analysts

One multimillion dollar construction project can make a difference for those who keep monthly tallies of California construction volume. For example, the new Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles, a privately funded $172 million structure, pushed permits for private nonresidential building in November to $1.4 billion. According to statistical data gathered by the Construction Industry Research Board, that was the highest November total since 1988's $41.8 billion, adjusted for inflation.
