Tapping Solutions to Legal Aid Drought -- Local Mergers of Services Go Long Way to Helping Poor, Underserved

Recently, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Contra Costa Legal Services Foundation, Community Legal Services and San Francisco Neighborhood Legal Assistance Foundation merged to form one legal services program - Bay Area Legal Aid, also known as BayLegal. The objective of the new program was to provide the same high quality legal assistance and equal access to the delivery system throughout the Bay Area regardless of a client's location, disability or language.
