Diabetes Claims Life of Judge Brown

SAN FRANCISCO - Judge Ira A. Brown Jr., a retired San Francisco jurist who educated civil litigators for years as co-author of a popular practice guide, died early Wednesday morning of complications of diabetes. He was 69.
