British Intelligence Prevents Revelation of FBI Documents on John Lennon

Government spying on former Beatle John Lennon was an international affair. That FBI agents and paid informants kept tabs on the British rock star in the early 1970s has long been known. Lennon set himself up for clandestine surveillance by moving to New York and opposing the Vietnam War. Richard Nixon was president, and the White House saw rock music as subversion with electric guitars.
