Ex-Judge Admits Attorney Coached Him in Lies

SAN DIEGO - A former Superior Court presiding judge testified Thursday before a federal jury that attorney Patrick Frega had drafted a 1991 letter containing untrue information that the judge then sent to the Commission on Judicial Performance in hopes of heading off an investigation into improper relationships between Frega and the judges.
