Two Step Two-Step

The Legislature should amend the FEHA to disregard Stevenson and require the exhaustion of administrative remedies in all cases.

        The Fair Employment and Housing Act prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, sex, national origin, age and other protected classifications. It provides that freedom from employment discrimination is a civil right and declares that such discrimination is against public policy and an unlawful employment practice.
