Clerks' Complaints

The authors asked the law clerks to offer some do's and don'ts in preparing and using the excerpts of record on appeal.

        Last year, a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals warned members of its bar that it would no longer tolerate submissions to the court that violated the circuit's Rule 30-1 regarding excerpts of record.
