$1 billion for new power plants
Calpine Corp., a San Jose-based independent producer of electricity, closed a $1 billion non-recourse revolving loan facility to support construction of up to 18 natural-gas powered electric plants. The transaction was underwritten by Credit Suisse Boston and the Bank of Nova Scotia.
