No Sleep? It's No Big Deal for Dealmaker
Keith Flaum, a partner in the mergers and acquisitions group at Cooley Godward, has discovered he no longer needs to sleep. Flaum is used to staying up all night as counsel to Prio Inc. during its roughly $392 million acquisition by Infospace.com Inc., and to many other Cooley Godward clients when they merge or acquire. He hit his all-time personal "best" during Hewlett-Packard's acquisition of VeriFone Inc. in 1997, when he was awake and working for 54 hours straight.
