Challenger Plans Diversity Platform
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval said Wednesday he would challenge San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Thomas J. Mellon Jr. for the seat Mellon has held for 14 years. Sandoval said he plans to file the necessary paperwork today to run in the June 3 election. Sandoval, who is Hispanic, said he would run on a platform of judicial diversity.
