Justices Hear Medical-Leave Case
SAN FRANCISCO - In its first opportunity to interpret the state's family medical leave law, the California Supreme Court on Tuesday wrestled with how to balance employers' rights with the need for employees to take time off. The main question presented to the court was whether a person can request medical leave from one employer while doing essentially the same job for a different company.
