9th Circuit hears oral argument in Heller Ehrman partnership case

The trustee for the Heller Ehrman LLP estate seemed to face a difficult road to convincing a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel Monday that partners departing a dissolving law firm must contribute a portion of future profits from ongoing hourly matters back into the bankruptcy estate for the firm they left.
